Job summary

Fendi Americas is seeking a Senior Manager, Demand & Distribution Planning to lead end-to-end forecasting, inventory, and distribution planning for the Americas retail and e-commerce network.

The role translates commercial strategy into precise forecasts and inventory plans, partnering with Merchandising, Retail, Finance, Logistics, and Central Supply Chain to drive profitable growth through accurate forecasting and optimized inventory positioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in demand planning, merchandise planning, allocation, buying, or retail analytics in luxury or premium retail/wholesale.
• Strong understanding of retail and supply chain economics: margin, markup, sell-through, inventory turns.
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel; capable PowerPoint presenter.
• Experience with planning systems (Anaplan) and Power BI is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management for Director/VP-level audiences in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and seasonal demand planning across categories, channels, and geographies.
• Develop and refine forecasting methodologies using historical performance, demand drivers, and market intelligence.
• Provide forward-looking insights on demand risks/opportunities and present to senior leadership.
• Manage seasonal sales planning and Open-To-Buy (OTB) with Merchandising and Finance.
• Define inventory strategies and oversee allocation to optimize availability and working capital.
• Partner with Logistics and Warehouse to resolve inventory constraints and support shipping priorities.
• Coach junior team members, including an intern, and drive improvements to planning tools and governance.

The Senior Manager, Demand & Distribution Planning is a strategic leadership role responsible for end-to-end demand, inventory, and distribution planning for the Fendi Americas retail and e-commerce network. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role translates commercial strategy into actionable forecasts and inventory plans while elevating planning tools and processes. The position partners with Merchandising, Retail, Finance, Logistics, and Central Supply Chain to drive profitable growth through accurate forecasting and optimized inventory positioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and seasonal demand planning across categories, channels, and geographies, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial objectives.
• Develop and refine forecasting methodologies by integrating historical performance, demand drivers, and market intelligence.
• Provide forward-looking insights on demand risks and opportunities and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage seasonal sales planning and Open-To-Buy (OTB) in partnership with Merchandising and Finance.
• Define inventory strategies and oversee allocation and re-allocation across retail and e-commerce to optimize availability and working capital.
• Partner with Logistics and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory constraints and support shipping priorities and network changes.
• Drive improvements to planning tools, reporting, and governance and coach junior team members, including an intern.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, allocation, buying, or retail analytics within luxury or premium retail/wholesale.
• Strong command of retail and supply chain economics, including margin, markup, sell-through, and inventory turns.
• Advanced analytical capabilities with expert-level proficiency in Excel and strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience with planning systems (e.g., Anaplan) and Power BI preferred.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present to Director and VP-level leaders and operate in a fast-paced environment.
