Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking a Senior Manager, Data PMO to drive data, analytics, AI, and ML initiatives with strategic impact across PlayStation. You will lead a team of program managers while also directly guiding select high-visibility data programs from strategy through delivery.

You will partner with senior leaders across Data, Engineering, Product and Business to translate strategy into execution, manage dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of program or project management or related technology leadership experience.
• Proven success leading Program Managers while personally leading complex, high-visibility programs.
• Experience operating across multiple programs, teams and senior stakeholders in a global organization.
• Strong people leadership: coach, develop, empower and manage experienced PMs.
• Ability to frame complex problems, use data, trade-offs and recommendations to influence senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of Data technologies, Analytics, Data Integration, Machine Learning and AI.

About the Role

The Data PMO enables PlayStation to make data-driven decisions by ensuring Data, Analytics, AI and Machine Learning initiatives are strategically aligned, effectively executed, and delivering measurable impact.

As Senior Manager, Data PMO, you will serve as a player-coach, leading and developing a team of Program Managers while also directly leading select strategic and complex Data programs.

You will partner with senior leaders across Data, Engineering, Product and Business to translate strategy into execution, navigate ambiguity and dependencies, and ensure our people, programs and operating practices deliver measurable outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of Program Managers, setting clear expectations, coaching performance and growth, and empowering PMs to independently lead complex programs.
• Directly lead select strategic, high-impact Data programs, establishing clear outcomes, plans, governance and execution mechanisms from strategy through delivery.
• Provide leadership across the Data portfolio, connecting priorities, dependencies, risks and resources across programs and driving alignment where issues span teams.
• Partner with senior Data and cross-functional leaders to frame complex problems, trade-offs and recommendations that enable timely decisions.
• Improve how we operate, establishing scalable PMO practices that increase predictability, transparency, accountability and efficiency.
• Anticipate and resolve complex delivery challenges, bringing clarity to ambiguous situations and addressing systemic issues rather than individual symptoms.
• Communicate with clarity and influence, translating complex technical and program information into concise, decision-oriented narratives for senior leaders.
• Build a healthy, inclusive and high-performing team culture centered on ownership, collaboration, continuous learning and measurable impact.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of program/project management or related technology leadership experience, including demonstrated people-management experience.
• Proven success leading Program Managers while also personally leading complex, high-visibility programs.
• Experience operating across multiple programs, teams and senior stakeholders in a complex, global organization.
• Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, empower and manage experienced PMs.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, identify systemic issues, establish structure and drive alignment across competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through clear problem framing, data, trade-offs and recommendations.
• Strong understanding of Data technologies and platforms, Analytics, Data Integration, Machine Learning and AI.
• Excellent executive communication, judgment, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$199,700 - $299,500 USD
