Job summary

Disney Experiences in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team of engineers and product managers responsible for data platforms that power guest experiences across Disney’s parks, resorts, and experiences.

You will own reliability, security, and evolution of our AWS-based infrastructure, Snowflake warehouse, and BI tools, translating strategy into actionable plans and developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in related roles with team leadership experience.
• Strong SQL and Python for data solution development.
• Deep experience in data engineering, Snowflake, and data modeling.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, RDS, serverless infra, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with BI tools like SAP BO, Crystal Reports, Tableau, MicroStrategy.
• Experience building CI/CD processes in large code repositories.
• Strategic thinker who can translate strategy into actionable directives.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate design and oversight of architecture for BI tools and Snowflake.
• Lead AWS infra and CI/CD pipelines for security and reliability.
• Establish data flow, API delivery, and storage processes across services.
• Set design standards and QA protocols for data systems.
• Translate strategy into actionable directives and adjust priorities.
• Identify and address operational, performance, and security issues.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, to advance platform capabilities.
• Balance cost, security, efficiency, and resiliency across architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders to capture demand and present strategies to executives.
• Provide leadership and coaching for engineers and product managers.
• Develop self and others, supporting career growth and open collaboration.
