Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering secure, scalable data platforms and guest analytics across Disney Experiences.

You will own reliable, cost-efficient AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and BI/visualization offerings, including Snowflake and identity resolution. Report to the Director Data Engineering with a focus on leadership and strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading technical teams.
• SQL and Python for data solutions and analysis.
• Snowflake data warehouse and data modeling experience.
• Extensive AWS experience: EC2, RDS, KMS, CloudWatch, CodeBuild, ECS, MWAA, VPC.
• BI/visualization tools such as Tableau, SAP BO, Crystal Reports or MicroStrategy.
• Experience with large-scale CI/CD processes and code repos.
• Strategic thinker who translates strategy into actionable directives.
• Clear executive-level communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and infrastructure for BI tools, Snowflake, and identity resolution.
• Lead AWS-based platform operations, CI/CD pipelines, and security.
• Define data flow, API delivery, storage, and data quality standards.
• Set design standards and QA protocols for software and systems.
• Translate strategy into actionable directives while adapting to change.
• Identify and resolve performance, security, and operational issues.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, to advance capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate business value and priorities.
• Provide leadership and coaching to engineers and product managers.
