Job summary

JPMorganChase in Houston seeks a Sr Manager of Software Engineering - Data to lead data engineering teams and modernization efforts. You will drive strategy, governance, and delivery across Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS data services, while mentoring leaders and coordinating with risk, analytics, and product teams.

You will oversee complex programs, set standards, and ensure production readiness, cost control, and regulatory compliance, partnering with senior stakeholders across the firm.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data leadership and programs.
• 4+ years leading teams and delivering complex programs.
• Experience with enterprise modernization and migrations.
• Strong governance, planning, risk/issue resolution, exec comms.
• Able to discuss cloud platforms, APIs, data platforms and DAGs.
• Experience leading data platforms, pipelines, and analytics products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization plan across delivery, data eng, migration and cutover.
• Build and coach a high-performing data engineering org.
• Provide coaching, career development and recognition to teams.
• Define data eng strategy for ingestion, transformation, quality, lineage.
• Oversee data platform delivery across Snowflake, Databricks, AWS.
• Set engineering standards for pipelines, testing, observability, cost.
• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, risk, and business teams.
• Coordinate scope, milestones, readiness, dependencies across teams.
• Govern program governance with exec reporting and risk resolution.
• Build relationships with senior leaders, vendors, and product owners.
