Senior Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis

As a Senior Manager in Cyber Governance and Risk at Capital One, you will drive efforts that align with Cyber’s strategy for high priority projects. In this role you will develop and lead innovative, data‑driven approaches to strengthening the company’s security posture and will drive effective cybersecurity risk management and due diligence while supporting business imperatives.

General Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs, providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and cross‑functional partners.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
• Use problem‑solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
• Partner cross‑functionally with customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership that drives effective project delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across Cyber and Capital One to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management and process development/implementation, quickly putting structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
• Display a passion for coaching and mentoring associates.
• Exhibit excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7 years of experience in multiple cybersecurity domains (identity and access management, zero trust architecture, cloud security).
• 10 years of Project Management experience.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.

Compensation

• McLean, VA: $200,700 – $229,100 for Sr. Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
• Plano, TX: $182,500 – $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
• Richmond, VA: $182,500 – $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
