Job summary

Capital One in Plano, TX seeks a Manager of Cyber Audit and Regulatory Engagements to coordinate audit, regulatory, and executive engagements across the Cybersecurity organization in partnership with the CISO and cross‑functional teams.

You will develop content for recurring regulatory meetings, drive end‑to‑end engagement execution, and produce formal reporting and artifacts for regulators and leadership.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 4 years of cybersecurity or technology experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in process or project management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in risk management or audit.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management, IT, or cyber audit experience.
  • Certified BPM or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a short‑ and long‑term strategic plan to mature the department’s regulatory engagement and executive reporting programs, including operations and maintenance of regulatory reporting, audit engagement, and executive risk forums.
  • Lead and collaborate with various teams to drive end‑to‑end engagement execution, including creation and maintenance of formal reporting and engagement documents (e.g., regulatory examination walkthrough slides) and supporting artifacts.
  • Tailor verbal and written communications to audience needs, articulating program strategy, processes, intent, outputs, failure modes, and measurements when representing the department in engagements, meetings, reports, and communications.
  • Monitor progress, collect, analyze, and measure engagement data and metrics; leverage data to initiate or improve readiness and response to engagements, and communicate lessons learned with actionable recommendations to an executive audience.
  • Manage the issue resolution process by proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to the engagements program, partnering with risk and technology teams on remediation, and centrally driving remediation of regulatory MRAs or MRIAs.
  • Proactively prepare the cyber organization for upcoming engagements by working with the risk office, regulatory relations, second‑ and third‑line partners to understand and update the engagement calendar.

Overview

Salary and Benefits
  • Salaries: McLean, VA – $164,800 to $188,100; Plano, TX – $149,800 to $171,000.
  • Performance‑based incentive compensation may be available, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
  • Comprehensive, competitive health, financial, and other benefits available for eligible full‑time employees.
