Job Description

The Manager, Crown Jewel Operations, maintains accountability for a positive customer experience and driving value with a strategic mindset while protecting AbbVie's most confidential data assets. This role will be accountable for providing governance and oversight for Crown Jewel Office and Cybersecurity activities, while delivering business value by maximizing investment in securing our Crown Jewels. This role will support the Data Protection Governance Committee and Crown Jewel Office Projects and guide development of reports and dashboards which will measure the current state of the Crown Jewel Office.

This position can be virtual anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for overall operations, governance, and optimization of Crown Jewel Office processes, with a focus on automation.
  2. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with functional counterparts in ISRM, the business, and IT System Owners to ensure the protection of Crown Jewel data.
  3. Lead assurance activities to test and ensure controls protecting Crown Jewel data are in effect.
  4. Provide regular reports to Senior Leadership and the Crown Jewel Office on the health and status of Crown Jewel Assets.
  5. Support the Data Protection Governance Committee by tracking action items, assisting with content development, facilitating meetings, and notetaking, including engagement with senior leaders.
  6. Provide operational and reporting requirements to development teams for internal tools and dashboards.
  7. Monitor execution of Crown Jewel processes conducted by Information Security and the Crown Jewel Office, and identify and implement improvements.
  8. Maintain accurate information about Crown Jewel data assets, suppliers, and applications, ensuring engagement of business and IT owners throughout the lifecycle.
  9. Ensure compliance with AbbVie's processes and standard practices across all Crown Jewel applications, suppliers, and data assets.
  10. Support the mission of the Crown Jewels Office: “safeguard AbbVie’s most vital digital data assets through stringent security measures and cutting-edge technology, ensuring data confidentiality to support our mission of making possibilities real.”

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience; Master's Degree with 7 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience OR relevant experience in Information Technology and/or Information Security.
  • Experience managing managed service provider outcomes, including SLA and contractual obligations, working through gaps, and ensuring service delivery optimization.
  • 5+ years in utilizing ITIL Framework, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
  • Proven experience in risk mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate issues.
  • CISSP certification.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem resolution skills in large, matrixed, complex environments.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion.
  • Experience with Service Operations in a global, multi-sourced environment.
