Job summary

The Security Executive Council is seeking a senior Corporate Security leader to oversee security operations for assigned locations, directing incident response, investigations, emergency management and access control. You will partner with executives, law enforcement and private partners to ensure a secure operating environment across facilities and supply chains.

• Assist with supervision and implementation of executive protection.
• Assist with supervision and implementation of international security programs.
• Assist with supervision and implementation of THD major event security.
• Assists in the selection, development, and motivations of staff.

Position Purpose

Lead and oversee all Corporate Security operations for assigned locations, ensuring the protection of associates, visitors, assets, and facilities. Implement strategic security programs and operational objectives involving personnel, events, and physical locations. Provide leadership and oversight for security incident response, investigations, emergency management, access control, and workplace violence prevention efforts. Serve as the primary security advisor to site and business leaders, providing consultation on security risks, mitigation strategies, and operational planning. Develop and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, including law enforcement, emergency services, and private sector partners, to support a safe and secure operating environment. Ensure compliance with Corporate Security policies, standards, training programs, and best practices while driving continuous improvement across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of identified THD Security Managers and Security staff

• Typically reports to Senior Director
• Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

• In depth knowledge of industry standard security principles, ability to supervise and manage diverse personnel under a variety of conditions and circumstances
• Knowledge of how to conduct investigations and personnel protection on a worldwide level
• Detailed understanding of government and private law enforcement to effectively carry out protective and investigative programs
• Must have federal, state, or local law enforcement experience or equivalent private sector experience
• Ability to conduct pre-construction evaluations and periodic reviews of proposed secure areas to advise and assist in all aspects of development from initial conception to project completion
• Project management experrience and detailed understanding of conducting security threat assessments and operational security assessments
