Job Description:
The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing all physical security, loss prevention, access control and emergency response activities for a manufacturing facility.
This role will oversee day-to-day security operations, including direct management of a contract security company providing guard coverage for all posts (combined office and warehouse duties).
The Security Manager partners with Operations, EHS, Facilities, IT/InfoSec, HR, Supply Chain and local authorities to protect people, facilities, assets and intellectual property while ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the site security team: train staff and contractors on security measures, oversee performance and coordinate disciplinary actions with HR and the guard company management.
Manage 24/7 security operations and incident response: oversee shift coverage, direct escalation and investigations, and run emergency drills.
Oversee security staff budget and vendor relationship: monitor vendor KPIs/SLA compliance. Oversee training for all Post Orders.
Develop, implement and maintain a facility security program, policies and SOPs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.
Supervise/Oversee daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion.
Develop, implement and maintain a facility security program, policies and SOPs (access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, visitor management, key/cylinder control, alarm monitoring and contractor/vendor access).
Manage 24/7 security operations: shift coverage, on-call rotations, incident escalation, and oversight of daily guard activities.
Lead incident response and investigations for theft, vandalism, workplace violence, trespass and other security events; prepare timely incident reports, root-cause analysis and lessons-learned.
Manage security-related budgets and procurements within delegated financial limits; monitor vendor performance and invoice validation.
Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction.
Identify safety and security issues that require follow-up or investigation.
Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or incidents.
Educate and train security awareness to employees, contractors and contracted guards; maintain training records and competency tracking. Maintain security personnel training on protocols and emergency response plans.
Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during security emergencies.
Regularly inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) to ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
Report equipment deficiencies and ensure repair orders are initiated.
Prepare management reports regarding security operations and progress. Presents reports as needed for security tracking measures.
Ensures accurate and timely reporting data input where required

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Security Compliance, Law enforcement, within a supervisory role.
Experience with manufacturing security standards, export-control requirements and customer security protocols.
Skills: Requires ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure. Ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, patrolling, and responding to emergencies.
Requires a Valid TX Driver's License.
