Job summary

The role requires a CPA, 8+ years of experience, and strong leadership to drive internal controls and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Marketing, Operations, and the Parent Company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience, with public accounting experience.
• CPA designation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review aspects of overall financial statement consolidation for Steak n Shake entities.
• Prepare, review and report schedules supporting parent company quarterly reporting and disclosures.
• Prepare and review the annual stand-alone Company financial statements for FDD.
• Be the key contact to external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Evaluate new leases and amendments under ASC 842 and coordinate with Legal.
• Lead a small team handling asset management, leases, marketing and financial reporting.
