Albertsons Companies in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead a team delivering customer-focused strategy and insights.

You will mine data from internal databases, IRI, Nielsen, and customer data, develop hypotheses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for the business. Strong MS Office skills and 5+ years in category management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in business, analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years in category management, data analysis, consumer insights or related experience.
• Experience in Retail Grocery Category Management.
• Extensive experience synthesizing information from large data sets from multiple sources.
• Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Main responsibilities:

• The Senior Manager, Category Management position leads a team that serves as an internal business consultant building Albertsons customer focused strategy.
• Mine multiple sources of internal and external data to derive meaningful insights (internal data bases, IRI, Nielsen and Customer Data)
• Review data, identify critical information, analyze and develop hypothesis to make recommendations to broader audience
• Combine analytical expertise and research to answer and deliver insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts
• Communication and influence so consumer insights are at core of decisions and ensure you are the fact based, independent and unbiased voice in all conversations
• Build deep understanding of the business to appropriately develop meaningful dash boards & insights

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Preferred education is a Bachelors' degree
• Preferred experience is 5 plus years in category management, data analysis, consumer insights or related experience
• Experience in Retail Grocery Category Management
• Extensive experience synthesizing information from large data sets from multiple sources (internal/vendor/syndicated industry)
• Expert knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%
