Albertsons Companies is seeking a Manager, Category Development to act as an internal business consultant, leading data-driven strategies for our retailers. You will mine multiple data sources, derive insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of retail grocery category management, and the ability to synthesize large datasets into clear dashboards and reports.

Main responsibilities:

The Manager, Category Development position works on a team that serves as an internal business consultant building Albertsons’ customer focused strategy.

• Mine multiple sources of internal and external data to derive meaningful insights (internal databases, Circana, Numerator, and Customer Data)
• Review data, identify critical information, and analyze it to develop hypotheses and recommendations for the immediate team and key stakeholders
• Combine analytical expertise and research to deliver insights that support business decisions and day-to-day priorities
• Organize and manage timelines, workflows, and task allocation across projects, coordinating inputs from multiple contributors to keep work on track
• Build a working understanding of the business to develop and maintain accurate, meaningful dashboards & insights
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Preferred education is a Bachelors’ degree
• Preferred experience is 5+ years in category management, data analysis, customer insights or related experience
• Love for project management
• Experience in Retail Grocery Category Management
• Experience synthesizing information from large data sets from multiple sources (internal/vendor/syndicated industry)
• Expert knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%
