Job summary

CDW is seeking an experienced Manager of Corporate Accounting in Chicago to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, deliver insightful financial analysis, and ensure GAAP compliance. The role partners with FP&A and other functions to drive forecasting accuracy and operational improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting and at least 1 year of leadership, with CPA a plus, and experience with large public entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; 5+ years of accounting experience and at least 1 year in leadership.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Experience with large public entities is a plus.
• Ownership and accountability for self and team delivering on commitments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal/external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Ability to influence across cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes for the company.
• Strong capabilities in talent management and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely, accurate results.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets, leases, software, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other corporate areas.
• Prepare financial analytics and narratives comparing results to prior periods and forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the business, including non-finance teams.
• Support forecasting and planning by analyzing expense trends with FP&A.
• Develop and mentor team members, driving performance and growth.
