Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an exceptionally skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead two or more software teams focused on conversational AI, voice and text chatbots. You will coach, mentor, and align delivery with business goals, while shaping architecture and SDLC practices in an agile environment.

The role combines hands-on participation with strategic leadership to deliver high‑quality software that elevates customer experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing engineers.
• 10+ years of designing and building software solutions in cloud environments.
• 10+ years of experience with multiple modern languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL).
• 10+ years with APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns.
• 5+ years soliciting complex requirements and managing stakeholder relationships.
• 5+ years independently managing deliverables.
• Experience with AI development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead two or more software engineering teams, providing mentorship and fostering growth.
• Participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, refinements, daily scrum, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to design reviews and define software engineering best practices, including AI tooling.
• Collaborate with product teams, architects, and senior engineers on solution design and architecture.
• Build and develop high-performing teams by hiring top talent and conducting performance evaluations.
• Oversee the full SDLC from requirements to deployment with secure coding and scalable architecture.
