You will manage relationships with stock and derivatives exchanges, negotiate group rights, and work with Finance on fees and budgets while guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced market data environment.

Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of market data and financial markets.
  • Strong experience negotiating commercial agreements.
  • 7+ years with a market data vendor or market data department in a financial institution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders on exchange content requirements and strategy.
  • Lead contractual negotiations with exchanges, securing rights for data distribution worldwide.
  • Review, analyze and negotiate exchange agreements and policies.
  • Establish and maintain commercial relationships with exchange content providers.
  • Negotiate and manage changes in exchange policies and fees and communicate updates.
  • Manage exchange content rights and obligations and advise on risks.
  • Act as SME on exchange data to promote content strategy and rights management.
  • Coordinate with Finance on content acquisition, fee changes and budgeting.
  • Support third-party content data audits and contribute to projects.

Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) is looking for a Senior Manager, Exchange Data, Content Strategy & Acquisition.

ICE is a leading global financial information services provider with an established track record of providing mission-critical, high quality financial information and value-added services, including real-time data, pricing and reference data, fixed income evaluations, security and portfolio analytics and customized financial information portals and terminals.

Weseekhighly motivated candidates for an opportunity to join the Exchange Content Strategy & Acquisition team which supports ICE’s third-party data content requirements andis responsible forthe licensing,distributionand management of exchange content globally.

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support the exchange contentstrategyacquisition process at ICE by managing relationships and contract negotiations with global stock and derivativesexchanges,with a focuson (but not limited to)stock andderivatives exchangesinthe Americas andEMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Partnerwith businessstakeholdersonexchangecontent requirements and strategy.
  • Lead contractual negotiations with exchanges, securinggroup rights fordatadistribution,connectivityand internal usage rights forproducts and servicesworld-wide.
  • Review,analyzeand negotiateexchangeagreementsand policies.
  • Establish andmaintainstrongcommercial relationships withexchangecontentproviders.
  • Negotiateand managechanges inexchangepolicies andfeesandcommunicate updates tointernal business lines.
  • Manage exchange contentrightsandobligations, andmake recommendations to the business on potential risks and suggested actions.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on exchange data used throughout the business,to promotecontent strategy and rights management for ICE.
  • Havebroadunderstanding of regulatory changes and their potential impact on exchange licenses and commercials.
  • Coordinate with Finance on content acquisition, feechangesand budget forecasting.
  • Support the management ofthird-partycontent data audits.
  • Manage and contribute toexchangecontent projects.
  • Participate in industry conferences and workshops.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Advancedunderstanding of market dataand offinancial markets.
  • Strong experience negotiating commercial agreements/strong negotiation skills.
  • 7+ years with a market data vendor or market data department in a financial institution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellentcommunication and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of entitlement and billing systems.
  • Excellentorganizational skills, withabilityto workwith autonomy and to manage and adapt to change.
  • Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors at all levels.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel,Wordand PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in high volume and high activity situations.
  • Strongfamiliarityofcomplexreal timebusiness use cases, end-of-day business use cases, and derived data use cases.

New York Base SalaryRange

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $150,000 - 185,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
