Senior Business Application Manager - AML Operations and Solution Support

Job Description Summary: Senior Business Application Manager for AML Operations and Solution Support is responsible for providing level 1 business application support for core GAML applications and various other maintenance and enhancement projects. This includes establishing and maintaining the processes for L1 analysts to support user provisioning, incident management, control monitoring, business rules/setting maintenance for core GAML Applications. Senior Business Application Manager for AML Operations and Solution Support manages a team of support analysts and is responsible to conduct personnel duties for the team.

Depth & Scope:

  • Establishes the process for and facilitates L1 support for core GAML Applications (Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening, Regulatory Reporting, Customer Risk Rating, SAR Filing)
  • Coordinates incident management oversight, user access provisioning, and system controls (Unauthorized Logins, data Volumes, Exceptions, etc.)
  • Oversees and facilitates maintenance of business rules/parameters/settings updates and user attestations
  • Supports enhancement projects and coordinates delivery of AML-impacted partner projects
  • Assigns business analysts/testers for requirements, UAT testing, and production change tickets support
  • Responds to regulatory and audit RFI/remediations and develops automation to enhance efficiencies (Alert/Case Creation, Closure, Routing etc)
  • Monitors KRI/KPI reporting on core GAML applications and tracks defect management for projects
  • Conducts annual Risk Assessments and coordinates business continuity management (BCM)
  • Establishes clear escalation processes to elevate concerns whenever identified
  • Manages a team of AML professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant Post Graduate degree or professional designation preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and success in complex AML transformational technology change and change management processes and practices
  • Understanding of GAML systems such as Actimize, SAS, Oracle, Patriot Officer, BAE Detica, etc.
  • Proven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to align teams to a central vision, while listening and engaging others to provide input in the shaping of that vision
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of professionals
  • Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees
  • Skillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input but remain objective to reach the right outcome - ability to stay resilient under pressure
  • Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Familiarity with AML/ATF, sanctions, and ABAC regulatory regimes a plus (US and Canada)
