Job summary

First Advantage is seeking a Senior Manager of Compliance and Audit to lead FCRA permissible purpose audits for customers and oversee incoming audits of internal controls.

The role also manages a small audit team, coordinates due diligence questionnaires, and contributes to the Third-Party Risk Management program, with opportunities to influence policy and training across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in legal operations, compliance, audits, or a related field.
• Experience leading audit functions including Third-Party Risk Management, Due Diligence, and certification audits.
• Experience with operational policy creation and compliance is preferred.
• Strong written communication skills with ability to translate regulatory content for non-legal stakeholders and present audit findings.
• Ability to manage multiple inputs, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Lead incoming vendor audits: coordinate audits from vendors, accreditors, and regulators.

Job description

Role Overview: The Senior Manager, Compliance and Audit is responsible for leading FCRA permissible purpose audits of First Advantage customers and managing incoming audits of First Advantage controls. This role also involves managing a small team of audit professionals, participating in Due Diligence Questionnaire intake and completion related to Privacy and Compliance, as well as overseeing the Legal and Compliance aspects of First Advantage’s Third-Party Risk Management program, and contributing to other Compliance initiatives and special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• FCRA Permissible Purpose Audits: Lead the Compliance and Audit team in initiating, reviewing, closing, and reporting on FCRA permissible purpose audits of First Advantage’s customer base.
• Lead Incoming Vendor Audits: Receive, coordinate, and oversee incoming vendor compliance audits from various First Advantage vendors, accreditors, and occasionally regulators.
• Manage Completion of Due Diligence Questionnaires: Participate in the intake, review, and completion of due diligence questionnaires related to First Advantage’s compliance and privacy controls.
• Manage Legal and Compliance Aspects of Third-Party Risk Management: Oversee and participate in the execution and reporting of the Legal and Compliance components of First Advantage’s Third-Party Risk Vendor Management program.
• Participate in Compliance Initiatives: Support other compliance initiatives as needed, including product and SOP reviews, policy creation and review, line of business audits, and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in legal operations, compliance, audits, or a related field, preferably at a Consumer Reporting Agency.
• Proven experience leading audit functions, which can include Third-Party Risk Management, Due Diligence, and certification audits.
• Experience with operational policy creation and compliance is preferred.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory content for non-legal stakeholders and present audit findings to leadership committees.
• Ability to manage multiple inputs, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is required.
• Familiarity with Data Privacy Laws (including CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) and the Federal Corrupt Practices Act is preferred.

Role Boundaries

This role does not provide legal advice or regulatory interpretation. The Legal department maintains final ownership of legal analysis, risk assessment, and policy positions. This role focuses on operational legal and compliance functions.
