Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate compensation experience.
  • Hands-on equity/stock compensation administration experience.
  • Experience building scalable compensation programs and salary structures.
  • Experience with market pricing, benchmarking, and pay studies.
  • Previous people management experience in Total Rewards.

Job description

Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation on behalf of our client, a global pest and wildlife control company. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the organization's compensation strategy, equity administration, and compensation programs while partnering closely with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and business leaders. The Senior Manager, Compensation will play a critical role in establishing compensation structures, conducting market analyses, administering equity programs, and developing scalable compensation processes that support the company's continued growth. This position offers the opportunity to build and enhance the compensation function while managing a direct report and driving strategic Total Rewards initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs.
  • Manage and administer the organization's equity and stock compensation programs, including oversight of thestock administration platform.
  • Establish and maintain formal salary structures, pay grades, and compensation guardrails across the organization.
  • Conduct market pricing analyses, salary benchmarking, and formal compensation studies to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Analyze compensation data and provide recommendations to leadership regarding salary adjustments, promotions, and incentive programs.
  • Partner closely with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders on Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Develop and implement compensation policies, procedures, and governance to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Lead compensation planning activities, including annual merit, bonus, and equity review cycles.
  • Manage one Compensation Analyst while providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Support payroll by ensuring accurate compensation data and system integration.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize compensation management software and related technologies.
  • Prepare executive reports, compensation analytics, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Stay current on compensation trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency within the compensation function.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate compensation experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering equity and stock compensation programs.
  • Experience managing stock administration platforms
  • Experience building or scaling compensation functions, including implementing compensation software and formal salary structures.
  • Experience conducting market pricing, compensation benchmarking, and formal pay studies.
  • Previous people management experience, including supervising compensation professionals.
  • Experience collaborating across Total Rewards, Payroll, Finance, and HR functions.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of compensation strategy, program design, and market analysis.
  • Expertise in equity administration and stock compensation.
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with compensation management systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Certifications
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications are a plus.

  • Deep understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, and job architecture.
  • Knowledge of equity compensation administration and stock plan management.
  • Familiarity with compensation software implementation and optimization.
  • Understanding of compensation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Total Rewards strategies, payroll integration, and HR best practices.
  • Experience interpreting market survey data and developing competitive compensation strategies.
