KKCO, part of the Scripps Media family, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Community Connections in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role will serve as the station’s main link to the local community, bringing voices into the newsroom and helping turn insights into meaningful journalism and partnerships.

You will work across News, Sales, Marketing, and leadership to create opportunities for greater local impact and trust, while guiding forums, town halls, and engagement programs that reflect community needs.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, journalism, nonprofit leadership, or related fields.

Mansioni

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with civic, nonprofit, business, educational, government, and other community stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and share community insights with station leadership to inform decisions.
• Partner with News to identify story opportunities and strengthen audience engagement.
• Represent the station in the community and develop partnerships with long-term value.
• Provide timely, professional communication with audience, partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead planning and execution of forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.
• Collaborate across News, Sales, Marketing, Operations and leadership to create opportunities.
• Oversee event logistics and measure engagement impact.
• Develop and execute a market-wide community engagement strategy aligned with priorities.
