Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead enterprise-scale applications, APIs, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions. You will guide engineering teams across cloud-native platforms, microservices, and AI-powered development, ensuring scalable, secure delivery aligned with business goals.

The role requires strong leadership, architecture excellence, and collaboration with product, operations, and analytics to drive modernization while maintaining regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and application development experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong experience designing cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Deep experience with microservices, DDD, and API-led integration.
• Experience with REST APIs, API Gateways, OpenAPI/Swagger, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js or similar.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and enterprise integrations.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted coding platforms and AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale apps, APIs, and integrations.
• Guide cloud-native architecture, microservices, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.
• Drive Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Ensure security, scalability, and HIPAA/CMS considerations in healthcare tech.
