Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations to lead regional operations for our Los Angeles service area. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this leader will be responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of our services across current and new clients in the Los Angeles area.

Precise Behavioral (Precise) was established to revolutionize the behavioral healthcare ecosystem for patients and providers. Precise is a physician-owned and led organization that enables a mix of digital, telehealth, in-person, and community resources for improved patient outcomes.

This is a hands-on, locally based role that sits at the intersection of clinical operations, client execution, and service delivery. The Senior Manager, Clinical Operations will ensure that our programs are operating effectively, client needs are addressed, new implementations are launched successfully, and operational issues are identified and resolved quickly.

The ideal candidate is a strong healthcare operator who enjoys being close to both clients and frontline operations. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, building trusted client relationships, coordinating across clinical and corporate teams, and taking ownership for ensuring that commitments translate into reliable execution.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Operations
  • Own the day-to-day operational performance of behavioral health programs and services across the Los Angeles service area.
  • Serve as the primary operational leader for the region, ensuring services are delivered consistently and in accordance with established clinical, operational, and client expectations.
  • Monitor regional performance, identify operational gaps or risks, and develop action plans to address them.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, capacity, workflows, and other operational needs required to support service delivery.
  • Ensure local teams understand performance expectations, priorities, and responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and drive issues through resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the experience of clients, clinicians, and the people we serve.
  • Escalate material risks, resource needs, or recurring issues to the VP of Operations with clear recommendations.
Client Operations & Relationship Management
  • Serve as a key operational point of contact for existing clients in the Los Angeles area.
  • Develop strong working relationships with client operational and administrative leaders.
  • Understand each client's operating environment, expectations, workflows, priorities, and service requirements.
  • Conduct regular operational check-ins and performance reviews with clients.
  • Ensure client questions, concerns, and operational issues are addressed in a timely and coordinated manner.
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve issues affecting client satisfaction or service delivery.
  • Track operational commitments made to clients and ensure appropriate follow-through.
  • Identify emerging client needs and communicate opportunities, risks, and feedback to internal leadership.
  • Support a consistently high-quality client experience that strengthens long-term relationships.
New Client Implementation
  • Assist with the operational implementation and launch of new Los Angeles-area clients in partnership with the VP of Operations and other functional teams.
  • Translate client requirements into clear operational plans, workflows, responsibilities, and launch milestones.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Clinical, Product, Technology, Growth, and other relevant teams.
  • Maintain implementation timelines and ensure dependencies, risks, and outstanding decisions are clearly identified and addressed.
  • Ensure local staffing, training, workflows, systems, and operational processes are ready prior to launch.
  • Serve as an operational point person during launch and stabilization.
  • Monitor new programs closely after implementation and address early operational challenges before transitioning them into steady-state operations.
  • Document lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future implementations.
Clinical Operations Partnership
  • Partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure regional operations effectively support clinical care delivery.
  • Ensure operational processes align with established clinical standards and workflows.
  • Coordinate with clinical leaders regarding staffing needs, capacity, scheduling, productivity, and operational barriers.
  • Help ensure clinicians have the processes, systems, information, and operational support needed to perform effectively.
  • Identify recurring operational issues affecting clinicians or service delivery and work with appropriate teams to address root causes.
  • Support implementation of new clinical programs, workflows, and operational initiatives within the region.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and manage regional operational KPIs, including service levels, access, utilization, productivity, capacity, client performance, and other established measures.
  • Use data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Conduct regular operating reviews with the VP of Operations and relevant functional leaders.
  • Develop corrective action plans when performance falls below expectations and ensure actions are completed.
  • Standardize effective practices across Los Angeles-area clients where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve operational execution.
  • Provide frontline feedback to Product, Technology, Clinical, and Operations leadership to inform broader improvements.
Cross-Functional Execution
  • Act as the connective point between Los Angeles clients, local operations, and centralized company teams.
  • Coordinate effectively across Clinical, Operations, Product, Technology, Growth, and other functions.
  • Translate company initiatives into practical execution at the regional and client level.
  • Ensure information flows effectively between clients, frontline teams, and company leadership.
  • Clarify ownership and drive follow-through when an operational issue spans multiple functions.
  • Represent regional operational needs and perspectives in broader company planning and decision-making.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive operations experience, preferably within behavioral health, healthcare services, digital health, health technology, or another complex service environment.
  • Experience managing healthcare, clinical, or service operations.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients, customers, healthcare organizations, or external partners.
  • Experience supporting new client implementations, program launches, or complex operational transitions.
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using KPIs and operational data to manage performance and solve problems.
  • Strong understanding of staffing, scheduling, capacity, workflow management, and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, determine root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without relying solely on formal authority.
  • High degree of ownership, organization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Ability and willingness to be regularly present with clients and teams throughout the Los Angeles area.
  • Experience in behavioral health, provider operations, health systems, hospitals, or technology-enabled healthcare services is strongly preferred.
Location & Travel

This role is based in the Los Angeles area and requires regular in-person presence with clients and operational teams throughout the region.

The Senior Manager, Clinical Operations should expect to travel locally between client sites as needed to support relationships, implementations, operational performance, and issue resolution.
