Job summary

Specialty Dental Brands (SDB) is seeking a Senior Manager, Clinic Accounting to lead accounting activities supporting our practices, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. You will build relationships across the organization, mentor the team, and strengthen processes as we grow.

This role offers a hybrid work environment in Nashville, TN, with responsibilities across month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and collaboration with finance and operations to drive clarity and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
• Progressive accounting experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience leading or mentoring an accounting team.
• Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-state organization preferred.
• Healthcare, dental, or dental support industry experience is a plus.
• Strong GAAP and internal controls understanding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinic accounting activities and coordinate month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Review practice financial statements, investigate variances, and explain results to leaders.
• Coach and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and practice leadership to resolve accounting issues.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls across practices.
• Coordinate audit requests and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve reporting as we grow.
