Manheim, a Cox Automotive Brand, is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Client Solutions to join our team in northern New Jersey.

The Senior Manager, Client Solutions is responsible for leading a sales team focused on revenue growth through an end-to-end sales strategy and selling all Inventory Solutions services to new and existing clients. This role covers the territory of the assigned geographical areas of their direct reports: Client Solutions Executives. The person will provide leadership for a sales team composed of Senior Client Solutions Executives, managing and growing existing accounts, as well as developing new accounts across all Inventory Solutions opportunities. They will implement sales strategies for business development, monitor results, and collaborate with all Inventory Solutions business units and Manheim operating locations. Effective partnership with the sales effectiveness team, key Cox Automotive business partners, and location leaders is essential to meet or exceed customer expectations.

What You'll Do:
  1. Partner with the Client Solutions Senior Director to develop and execute plans to grow revenue and market share.
  2. Implement sales growth and retention strategies for assigned teams and accounts.
  3. Lead the sales team by communicating performance expectations, supporting sales activities, coaching, and holding team members accountable for results.
  4. Collaborate with the Senior Director to gather market intelligence and tools to support business development.
  5. Manage and lead the Client Solutions team, including recruiting, hiring, and development.
  6. Engage with automotive dealerships, associations, and dealer groups at various levels.
  7. Work closely with management, product teams, IT, sales effectiveness, and customer care professionals.
  8. Sell through all Inventory Solutions channels and support Cox Automotive groups.
  9. Use CRM daily to monitor sales, ensure compliance, and maximize tool utilization.
  10. Implement promotions and incentives to achieve business goals.
  11. Negotiate rates and volume plans as authorized.
  12. Build lasting relationships with clients and location leadership.
  13. Manage day-to-day service issues through appropriate channels.
  14. Train and promote the use of all Manheim products and services.
  15. Embrace a World-Class Sales Organization strategy to foster growth and efficiency.
Who You Are:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience in outside sales and service, automotive, auction, or wholesale internet sales is preferred. Alternative combinations of education and experience are acceptable.
  • At least 3 years in a management/leadership role with proven success.
  • Experience in developing new business from prospects and existing customers.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment and leverage products/services in a competitive marketplace.
  • Understanding of retail/wholesale marketplace in an operational context.
  • Proficiency in Internet and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrixed organization.
  • Travel requirement: 50-75%.
  • Experience in selling and servicing account lists, with a proven track record of growing accounts.

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive, auction, wholesale, internet sales/services.

Salary Range: USD 83,400.00 - 125,200.00 per year, plus an annual incentive/commission target of $40,000.00.
