Job description

Manheim, a Cox Automotive Brand, is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Client Solutions to join our team in northern New Jersey.

The Senior Manager, Client Solutions, is responsible for leading a sales team focused on revenue growth through an end-to-end sales strategy. This role involves selling all Inventory Solutions services to both new and existing clients. The territory includes, but is not limited to, the geographical areas of the Client Solutions Executives reporting to this manager. The individual will provide leadership to a team of Senior Client Solutions Executives, managing and growing accounts, and developing new business opportunities across all Inventory Solutions offerings. The role requires implementing sales strategies, monitoring results, and collaborating with various business units and locations to meet or exceed customer expectations.

What You'll Do:
  1. Partner with the Client Solutions Senior Director to develop and execute plans for revenue and market share growth.
  2. Implement sales growth and retention strategies for assigned teams and accounts.
  3. Lead and support the sales team through performance communication, coaching, and accountability.
  4. Gather market intelligence and tools to support business development for clients and Inventory Solutions.
  5. Manage and develop the Client Solutions team, including recruiting and hiring.
  6. Engage with automotive dealerships, associations, and dealer groups.
  7. Collaborate with management, product, IT, sales effectiveness, and customer care teams.
  8. Sell across all Inventory Solutions channels and support Cox Automotive groups.
  9. Utilize CRM tools daily to monitor sales results and ensure compliance and effective usage by Client Success Executives.
  10. Implement promotions and incentives to drive business results.
  11. Negotiate rates and volume plans as authorized.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and location leadership.
  13. Manage day-to-day service issues through appropriate channels.
  14. Train and promote the utilization of all Manheim products and services.
  15. Embrace and execute the World-Class Sales Organization strategy to foster growth and efficiency.
Who You Are:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience in outside sales, automotive, auction, or wholesale internet sales; alternative combinations include a master's degree with 6 years, a Ph.D. with up to 3 years, or 12 years of related experience.
  • At least 3 years in a management or leadership role with proven success.
  • Experience in developing new business and managing existing customer relationships.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment and leverage in-lane and online products/services.
  • Understanding of the retail/wholesale marketplace in operational contexts.
  • Proficiency in Internet use and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Adaptability to changing environments, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrixed organization.
  • 50-75% travel requirement.
  • Experience in selling and servicing accounts, with a proven track record of account growth.

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive, auction, wholesale, internet sales/services.
Compensation & Benefits:

Annual salary range: $83,400 - $125,200, plus an incentive/commission target of $40,000. Benefits include flexible paid vacation, seven paid holidays, up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave annually, and additional leave options such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
