Role Purpose

As Senior Manager, CAD Development, you will lead the technical drawing capability that turns venue concepts into buildable layouts for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will guide a team of Managers, establish CAD standards, and translate operational requirements into accurate designs for non-sport venue space, furniture and equipment placement, and overlay. Working across logistics, planning, and procurement, you will help shape how the Games take physical form and set foundations that many venue decisions depend on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Managers in CAD Development, setting priorities, standards, and workload across venue projects.
  • Lead the development of CAD drawings for non-sport venue layouts, furniture and equipment placement, and overlay designs.
  • Establish and maintain CAD standards, templates, and best practices, translating internal requirements into accurate drawings.
  • Create, review, and approve drawings for accuracy and compliance, and oversee version control and document management.
  • Align delivery with project milestones and support cost planning and procurement with detailed layouts and quantities.
Required Competencies
  • 8+ years of experience in CAD development, including at least three years leading or supervising a CAD team through complex delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software such as Revit, Rhino, and BIM tools used across venue design.
  • Proven track record managing complex, concurrent projects, multitasking, and prioritizing competing deliverables under tight, immovable Games deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills across Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, for documentation and reporting.
  • Leadership skills to guide and develop a diverse team, with clear, confident upward and downward communication.
Valued Experience
  • Experience on a major event such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Confident self-starter who advances decisions with stakeholder input.
  • Collaborative, flexible approach within an evolving organization.
  • Influencing skills that build understanding and buy-in across stakeholders.
  • Passion for sport and for Los Angeles.
What We Offer
  • Ownership of a core capability that shapes how LA28 venues are designed and delivered.
  • A once-in-a-career opportunity to help stage the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Exposure across logistics, planning, and procurement, building durable, transferable experience.
  • A collaborative, high-trust team where pride is earned through shared, visible results.
