Job description

Taily is a science-first, pet-obsessed wellness brand that creates thoughtfully formulated products for dogs. We focus on real concerns such as joint discomfort, allergies, skin health, and healthy aging. Our goal is simple: make pet wellness products that owners can trust, and dogs will actually enjoy.

We're hiring an Operations Manager to keep the business moving across campaigns, product launches, sales channels, and outside partners. Within your lane, you have real authority. You set deadlines, manage vendors, build the process, push decisions forward, and make sure the work ships.

You won't have a large team to delegate to, and you won't have a founder who stays out of the details.

A large part of this job is organizational. At any given moment, we have a dozen things in flight across multiple sales channels, with a mix of internal people and outside partners touching each one. You're the person who knows where everything stands, what's blocked, and who owes what by when.

If a deadline is going to slip, you know before it slips. If a process is broken, you fix it. If one doesn't exist, you build it.

This is not a role for someone who wants to set the company's entire growth strategy. It is for someone who wants to run the machine and take ownership of how well it runs. A marketing background is helpful, but operational strength matters most.

What you'll own:
  • Cross-functional project planning and execution across ecommerce, Amazon, TikTok, retail, organic content, and marketing
  • The company's operating calendar, including product launches, promotions, Black Friday, and seasonal pushes
  • Timelines, dependencies, and follow-through. You'll break projects into steps, work backward from deadlines, assign owners, and follow up until the work is finished
  • External partners, including agencies, freelancers, contractors, editors, creators, and designers. You'll scope work, set deadlines, review output, and cut partners who aren't performing
  • Coordination across internal teams so everyone knows what is happening, what they own, and when it is due
  • Weekly priorities, project updates, and operating rhythms that keep the team focused and accountable
  • Process development. You'll spot gaps, create practical systems, and improve them as the business changes
  • Launch and campaign execution, including briefs, approvals, asset delivery, landing pages, promotional mechanics, and post-mortems
  • Reporting and performance tracking. You'll be expected to read the numbers, identify problems, and recommend what to stop, scale, or fix
  • The tools and documentation the team uses to track projects, decisions, deadlines, and ownership
Beyond that:
  • 5 to 9 years of experience in operations, project management, product life cycle, account management, or a similar execution-heavy role
  • Experience in ecommerce or DTC is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional organization. You can keep a large number of moving pieces on track without dropping them
  • Comfort holding other people accountable to deadlines, including senior team members and outside partners
  • A system for managing work that does not depend on your memory
  • A track record of managing agencies, freelancers, or contractors, not just working alongside them. We want someone who has fired a bad vendor and can explain why
  • Comfort with business and marketing metrics such as CAC, LTV, MER, and contribution margin
  • Strong written communication. Your briefs, feedback, and updates give people what they need to act
  • The judgment to work without much existing process and the instinct to build process where it's missing
  • Familiarity with project management and reporting tools
Nice to have:
  • A marketing, growth, or brand background
  • Experience supporting paid social, email, SMS, retail, marketplace, or organic campaigns
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Seller Central, or TikTok Shop
  • Experience with retail or marketplace channels alongside DTC
  • Familiarity with creator-led and UGC-heavy creative work
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
Don't apply if:
  • You wait to be told what the priority is
  • You bring problems but no solutions
  • You see a problem outside your job description and walk past it
  • You need clean lines around your role and get uncomfortable stepping over them
  • Direct feedback rattles you, or you need a compliment sandwich to hear it
  • You need to be right more than you need the thing to work
  • Following up with people makes you uncomfortable
  • You think project management means updating a board after someone else has done the work
Do apply if:
  • You have your ego in check and the humility to know you might be wrong
  • You have a dog; we make exceptions for cats, but...
  • You have something to prove, and you're not shy about it
  • You take on a project and it gets done without anyone checking in on you
  • You'd rather move and be corrected than wait a week for a blessing
  • You can be wrong out loud, fix it, and move on the same day
  • You've been the most organized person in every room you've worked in, and it's started to annoy you that nobody else keeps up
  • You get genuine satisfaction from turning a messy project into a clear plan
Compensation:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000. The final offer will reflect the candidate's relevant experience, depth of industry knowledge, and demonstrated track record.
