One of our clients, a growing, entrepreneurial invoice factoring company, is searching for a Senior Manager of Business Development. The company is dedicated to providing working capital solutions to small and mid-sized businesses. They believe in building long-term relationships with clients and offering fast, flexible financing to help them grow. As a small but ambitious team, they value grit, integrity, and a hands-on approach to business development.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Development who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build a strong book of business from the ground up. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a small company environment, enjoys hunting for new business, and can drive revenue through strategic partnerships and direct client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to acquire new factoring clients, focusing on industries that benefit from invoice financing.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients, cultivating relationships with business owners, CFOs, brokers, and referral partners.
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and networking to deal structuring and closing.
  • Establish referral channels by partnering with accountants, attorneys, and financial advisors who work with companies in need of factoring solutions.
  • Educate prospects on the benefits of factoring and tailor solutions to meet their working capital needs.
  • Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand market reach.
  • Continuously track and report on sales metrics, refining strategies to optimize success.

Who You Are

  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to build something from the ground up.
  • Experienced in B2B sales, financial services, factoring, asset-based lending, or commercial finance.
  • Skilled at networking, relationship management, and consultative selling.
  • Comfortable with a hands-on role in a small company where everyone contributes beyond their job description.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in factoring, commercial finance, or B2B financial services.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a business development role.
  • Existing relationships in industries that benefit from factoring (transportation, staffing, manufacturing, etc.) are a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed to build relationships and attend industry events.
