Job summary

Dahl Consulting is assisting a leading North American distribution and logistics organization in Pleasant Prairie, WI to hire a Building Automation and Controls Manager. You will lead BAS programs and HVAC controls across 50+ facilities, shaping strategy and driving reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 7+ years BAS experience, strong leadership, and travel across North America. Master's preferred; cybersecurity and energy efficiency focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) including BAS programming and controls implementation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation technologies.
• Experience leading projects, programs, or teams within facilities, automation, or building systems environments.
• Understanding of building systems lifecycle management, maintenance practices, and performance metrics.
• Willingness to travel across North America as needed.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing technical engineering or building systems teams.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to BAS and industrial control systems.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site distribution, manufacturing, or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency initiatives and smart building technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of HVAC controls and BAS across a large multi-site portfolio.
• Mentor and develop a team of Building Systems Engineers to meet performance objectives.
• Oversee BAS programming, system upgrades, maintenance initiatives, and enterprise-wide standards.
• Support cybersecurity policies and governance for building automation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and Construction teams to improve performance and energy efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to controls, monitoring, and facility operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable solutions.
