LEGO Group seeks a Senior Manager & Competency Leader to lead the Onsite Technology team in the Americas, aligning local delivery with global engineering strategy. You will blend people leadership with technical delivery across offices, relocations, and partnerships with external providers.
This role combines strategic influence and hands-on delivery in a hybrid work environment, with relocation support not offered.
Job Description
Just imagine transforming a traditional IT support function into a high-performing engineering organization that enables the future of digital services. The strategic drive for this is clear, but can you be part of shaping the details and making it real?
As our Senior Manager & Competency Leader, you’ll lead a local Onsite Technology team while contributing as a key member of a global leadership team. You’ll bring together people-leadership, technical insight, project delivery, stakeholder influence, and transformation leadership to strengthen engineering capabilities and build a future-ready organization. Alongside leading and developing the team, you’ll oversee IT infrastructure projects across the Americas region, including new offices, expansions, relocations, and partnerships with external technology providers.
If you’ve worked in a role where you delivered complex technology projects, transformed IT operations, and developed technical teams, you’ll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to combine strong leadership with practical delivery, creating measurable improvements for both people and technology.
You’ll join Hubs, Offices & Sites Onsite Technology within Digital Technology. The team provides the local presence and engineering expertise needed to bring digital products to life while acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and product teams. We work in global agile rhythms with regular planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, and weekly stand-ups. You’ll be part of a culture that values strategic thinking, problem solving, simplifying complexity, technical excellence, ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement in a hybrid working environment.
Success means helping the team evolve into an engineering-driven organization recognized for consistent, high-quality service delivery. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you’ll support the shift toward more project and implementation work while strengthening local technology deployments and reliable operations. You’ll work closely with Regional GMs, Lead Engineers, Competency Leads, and Digital project teams, helping shape both regional outcomes and global direction.
Please note: If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
