Position Overview: Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Manager - Boeing Rocky Program Chief Engineer (Level M) to lead our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Boeing Company’s Responsive Space is a portfolio of programs within Boeing Space Mission Systems within Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems. We are looking to hire a senior manager as the Chief Engineer for one of the programs. The Rocky Chief Engineer will assure all technical aspects of the Rocky program are executed properly including product definition, validation, software and systems engineering, design integration, test and evaluation, and certification for the Boeing team and all associated supplier work content. The Rocky Chief Engineer will also oversee the development of multi-disciplined skills, model-based tools, and standardized processes to deliver engineering through the lifecycle of the program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required), (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 10+ years of experience in systems engineering performing system architecture development, systems integration, and/or hardware/software design and analysis Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue, and opportunity management to drive performance Willing & able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with all phases of a program life cycle from high development Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) through sustainment Experience working closely with Department of Defense (DOD) stakeholders
