Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Accounting with a focus on employee benefits accounting. This role leads strategic accounting operations, directs financial reporting, and ensures internal controls across pension, OPEB, and other post-retirement benefit programs.

You will partner with actuaries, auditors, and finance leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and robust governance, while mentoring a team of accounting professionals in a regulated utility setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; active CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain internal controls and supporting documentation.
• Lead and develop the benefits accounting function, including OPEB and pension.
