Job summary

Jupiter Power LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Performance Engineering to lead asset performance and analytics for utility-scale energy storage across the U.S. The role will drive fleet-wide capacity testing, degradation modeling, and optimization in collaboration with ROC, field O&M teams, and OEMs.

Based in Austin/Chicago/Houston, it requires travel and a strong technical leadership presence. The role emphasizes building scalable dashboards, knowledge baselines, and proactive asset planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of asset management, technical operations or asset performance analytics for utility-scale energy infrastructure.
• Experience engaging with major OEMs (battery pack, inverter/PCS, EMS vendors).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; willingness to use Databricks for performance analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet-wide capacity testing and reporting according to OEM requirements.
• Engage with BESS OEMs for operational sites and resolve technical issues.
• Develop forward-looking degradation and availability models for proactive asset planning.
• Improve battery balancing programs to maximize usable capacity.
• Create dashboards and reports to increase visibility of asset performance and health.
• Collaborate with ROC, O&M teams and vendors on technical escalations and resolutions.
