Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior advisor to lead Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services engagements for business restructuring and bankruptcy-related matters, including litigation. You will guide teams, manage complex client questions, develop liquidity plans, and pursue new business opportunities with Advisory Partners oversight.

The role emphasizes strategic restructuring, robust financial modeling, and strong communication to stakeholders while traveling to clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of experience in business restructuring/related consulting.
• Five (5) or more years of management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy and insolvency process
• Prior experience in a national public accounting firm or consulting organization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to go above and beyond to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Execute, build out, and lead a team delivering Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services, including bankruptcy litigation
• Address complex questions under the direction of an Advisory Partner
• Market and network for new business; pursue and lead new business proposals
• Lead and advise on restructuring processes: strategy development, liquidity management, parallel processes, out-of-court negotiations
• Develop and execute restructuring and turnaround plans to maximize stakeholder value
• Develop financial models: integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow models
• Maintain executive presence and act as primary contact for assigned engagements
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and client personnel
• Manage teams and delegate assignments; foster professional development
• Travel to local, regional, and national clients

• Address complex questions and issues under the direction of an Advisory Partner
• Market and network for new business, including identifying, pursuing, and leading new business proposals
• Lead and advise on restructuring processes, including strategy development, liquidity management, parallel processes, out-of-court negotiations, bankruptcy preparation, and strategy execution/implementation
• Develop and execute restructuring and turnaround plans to maximize stakeholder value
• Develop financial models, especially integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow models
• Maintain executive presence and act as primary contact on assigned engagements while keeping Partners informed of progress
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and client personnel
• Manage teams of professionals and delegate work assignments

Requirements

• Ten (10) or more years of prior experience performing business restructuring and/or related consulting services
• Five (5) or more years of management experience
• Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy and insolvency process
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field
• Prior experience working within a national public accounting firm or consulting organization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to review work product developed by others
• Willingness to go above and beyond to provide superior work product while meeting engagement deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Superior analytical skills, including ability to identify issues and anomalies
