What You’ll Do
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for scholarship programs and award processes.
  • Supervise, mentor, develop, and evaluate assigned team members.
  • Monitor scholarship postings, awarding activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate scholarship communications and outreach efforts.
  • Develop and enhance operational processes and service delivery.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to expand scholarship awareness and student engagement.
  • Monitor productivity, service levels, reporting, and operational outcomes.
  • Support special projects, events, and strategic initiatives within the Scholarship Department.
Position / Job Summary

Responsible for the administration, coordination, promotion, and oversight of institutional, foundation, and external scholarship programs. This position serves as a key leader for the Awards Management team, supporting scholarship operations, student outreach, scholarship awarding processes, and compliance with institutional, state, federal, and donor requirements. The position also assists students at Dallas College in all aspects of the financial aid process and helps ensure the institution receives financial aid funds in a timely fashion.

The coordinator collaborates closely with Financial Literacy Coaches, Awards Management Coordinators, Financial Aid, Foundation staff, Information Technology, Enrollment Services, academic departments, and community partners to increase student awareness of scholarship opportunities and ensure equitable and timely awarding scholarship funds. The position provides operational leadership, process improvement support, staff oversight, training, reporting, and customer service while promoting student access to financial resources that support enrollment, persistence, and completion.
