• 10+ years of IT or Automation experience in GMP manufacturing.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, including leading other leaders.
• Knowledge of IT security and domains familiarity.

The Position

Responsible for the Automation departments, divided into two manager-led tracks: Automation Support & Operational Support. Provides leadership & guidance to staff, oversees subject matter experts supporting applications and projects, ensures compliance & availability, manages service level agreements, and develops strategic goals aligned with business plans. Drives improvement projects & system upgrades.

Essential Functions

• Develop strategic direction for assets, monitor industry advancements, recommend & implement new technologies to meet customer demands and production goals
• Collaborate with leadership, oversee development, coaching, performance management, recruitment & employee relations
• Manage and coach department leaders and SMEs to ensure high performance and collaboration
• Provide ongoing feedback and accountability to improve performance
• Drive cLEAN behavior & systematic problem solving
• Define, implement & monitor KPIs on system performance
• Lead productivity improvement initiatives & projects
• Ensure department personnel embody the cLEAN culture
• Establish and maintain the strategic perspective for the department
• Oversee the systems life cycle
• Manage stakeholder involvement at all organizational levels
• Ensure applications are available, capable, & accessible to meet production and business needs
• Ensure compliance with regulations & governance
• Manage costs and external vendor relations
• Follow safety & environmental requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; MA/MS preferred
• Minimum 10 years of IT or Automation experience in GMP manufacturing
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience, including leading other leaders
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems & applications
• Experience with BMS, PCS, MES, PLC/SCADA, Historian; DeltaV, Syncade & Rockwell PLC preferred
• Manufacturing Intelligence systems experience
• Networking & firewalls knowledge
• IT security & domains familiarity
• Lean methodologies experience
• System development & lifecycle management a plus
• Production support process knowledge
• API production experience a plus
• Strong project management & IT governance skills
