Job summary

CIBC in Chicago is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead cross-functional teams and deliver large-scale software solutions. You will set technical direction, ensure quality, and align with the bank’s strategic goals in a hybrid work model with 2-3 days on-site.

You'll mentor engineers, drive AI-assisted development and integrate modern tools while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. A solid Azure-based stack is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in .NET (C#) application development.
• SQL Server database design and optimization.
• Data tech stack including SSIS, Azure SQL, REST APIs.
• BI tools such as Tableau/Cognos/Power BI and Databricks for ETL.
• Experience with architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud (Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional development teams and oversee large-scale projects.
• Provide technical and strategic direction with best-practice development.
• Champion AI coding assistants and modern tooling adoption.
• Mentor engineers and manage governance with stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into robust designs aligned to roadmaps.
