Sam Houston State University seeks an Associate Director IV for the Alternative Certification Program. The role is full-time, temporary, and oversees certification processes, admissions, budgeting, and program compliance within the School of Teaching & Learning.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in a related field, preferably a Master’s, and a Texas Teacher Certification, with at least six years’ related experience including five years in leadership within Texas public schools.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current Texas Teacher Certification.
• Six years’ experience in a related field with five or more years of leadership experience in Texas public schools.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees the Alternative Certification Program and program students within the School of Teaching & Learning.
• Ensures compliance with Texas Education Agency and SBOE rules for initial teacher certification.
• Manages admissions decisions, program budgets, reports, and resource allocation to support program needs.
• Coaches staff and mentors candidates; supports field-based opportunities and coordination with faculty.
