Job summary

The SouthState Bank seeks a skilled risk professional to support the Director of Risk Strategy, focusing on AI risk governance, scenario analysis, and risk taxonomy. The role coordinates across risk disciplines and internal customers to enable decision-ready analysis and governance reporting.

Collaborating with stakeholders, you will help evolve the AI governance framework, monitor AM and risk appetites, and assist in testing approaches for AI assets within a banking context.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent risk-management experience.
• 5+ years in risk management and/or internal audit in banking preferred.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with GRC apps preferred.
• Knowledge of risk assessments (including RCSAs) and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support AI governance framework maintenance, including policies, standards, and controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evolve AI risk governance and tools.
• Assist in assessing and monitoring risks related to AI use cases and identify gaps.
• Support development of an enterprise-wide risk framework and scenario analysis.
• Assist in aligning risk strategies with corporate risk appetite and objectives.
