Job summary

EvenUp in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager, Discovery Operations to build and run a high-quality, AI-assisted discovery service for personal injury litigation firms. You will define the legal quality bar, design workflows, staffing, and metrics, while coordinating with product, engineering, and data science to scale the service and meet client needs. Hybrid role reporting to the VP of Operations.

Qualifications

J.D. and active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
7+ years of personal injury litigation experience with substantial discovery work.
Experience managing people and teams in a legal or legal-services setting.
Comfort operating with metrics and SLAs and thinking in terms of turnaround time, quality, and throughput.
Fluency with legal tech/AI-assisted drafting tools and clear guidance for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

Own the legal quality bar and set/defend the standards for output across PI jurisdictions.
Define and maintain quality standards, templates, and playbooks; review output for high-risk cases.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to integrate expertise into the AI-assisted workflow.
Stay current on discovery law changes and update guidance and SLAs accordingly.
Design end-to-end delivery workflow and staffing model; build a scalable operation.
Own metrics, report to leadership, and drive process improvements as volume scales.
