Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the development of the next-generation platform powering autonomous, AI-driven agents. The role combines data science expertise and platform depth to scale a distributed system for reasoning, memory, and tool use at runtime.

You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, drive product and data science strategy, and ensure the platform is performant, extensible, and production-ready.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science, with leadership experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.
• Strong backend, APIs, infrastructure, or platform-architecture background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Define requirements for predictive modeling, memory, planning, and tool orchestration.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways and vector store integrations.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and data science services to enable large-scale agent execution.
• Guide cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security best practices.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists.
• Ensure alignment with evolving AI product needs and downstream applications.
• Drive excellence through code/design reviews and reliability practices.
• Contribute to long-term vision of agentic workflows powered by data science and ML.
