Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Manager to lead the AI Platform, guiding a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists. You will shape the roadmap for autonomous, AI-driven agents, ensuring scalability, performance, and production readiness across a distributed, cloud-native environment.

You will partner with product and research teams to define capabilities like predictive modeling, memory, planning, and multi-agent orchestration, while maintaining strong governance and security practices

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership overseeing AI initiatives
• Experience building/scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms
• Hands-on with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, and data science pipelines
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, feature stores in production
• Strong project management with cross-functional delivery
• Excellent communication with execs, researchers, and engineers
• Passion for autonomous AI-powered platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform
• Define requirements for predictive modeling, memory, planning, multi-agent collaboration, and tool orchestration
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways, vector store integrations, RAG pipelines
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and data science services for scalable agent execution
• Guide cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists
• Align platform capabilities with evolving AI product needs across teams
• Drive technical excellence through reviews, reliability practices, and cross-functional collaboration
• Shape long-term strategy for agentic workflows powered by data science
