Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Manager, Trial Surveillance & Analytics to lead a hands-on data science function inside a new center of excellence. You will own problems from intake to working product, building data pipelines, analytics, and AI-powered tools that support ongoing clinical trials and patient safety decisions.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, collaboration across Global Patient Safety and data engineering, and scaling AI-enabled solutions while ensuring GCP, ICH, and AbbVie SOP

Qualifications

• MS (8+ years) or PhD (4+ years) in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, ML or related field.
• Hands-on programming in R and Python, plus SQL and Git.
• Experience with CDISC SDTM/ADaM data in clinical trials.
• Proven ability to build end-to-end analytical pipelines.
• Strong communication to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Frame surveillance problems with stakeholders before building and design for adoption.
• Design data pipelines and analysis-ready data on SDTM/ADaM for safety and efficacy surveillance.
• Lead blinded, standardized analytics across studies to detect signals early.
• Deliver reporting—tables, listings and figures—and automate it wherever possible.
• Develop applications, dashboards and self-service tools used by study teams.
