Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a qualified candidate to join the team responsible for delivering business value from clinical trials data. The role supports study startup through close-out, performing data analyses and collaborating with cross-functional study teams.

The successful candidate will apply CDASH/SDTM standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to design specifications. Strong communication and multi-priority management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, computer science, life sciences or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated performance as a key contributor to initiatives and advancement of their organization (academic, internships, or in a previous job).
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Uses understanding of clinical trial concepts and cross-functional protocol requirements to execute assigned study assignments.
• Engages with DSS and cross-functional study teams to execute activities.
• Effectively utilizes available technology to execute activities.
• Utilizes data standards (CDASH and SDTM) in design and development of interfaces and data flow.
• Supports execution of processes in study startup, conduct and close-out.
• Performs data analyses in support of operational decision making.
• Supports development of clinical trial application design specifications.
• May rotate through multiple DS roles to build base proficiency.
