Job summary

Jobber's Fintech team is seeking a Senior Manager, Credit Risk to lead a growing team and build an AI-native credit risk practice for payments and lending. You’ll shape risk policy, collaborate with Data Science, and embed risk decisions into product experiences for small businesses.

You’ll own underwriting, portfolio monitoring, loss forecasting, and compliance with US and Canadian requirements, driving automation and scalable risk solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in credit risk with leadership experience.
• Policy setting, risk appetite, and limit frameworks.
• Experience managing a credit portfolio through stress.
• Builder mindset with automation/AI.
• Data-driven decision making with hands-on data work.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with IFRS9/CECL for credit loss provisioning.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Credit Risk Analysts and leaders.
• Own end-to-end credit risk operations and loss forecasting.
• Define credit risk appetite, policy, and limits.
• Partner with Data Science to build and improve models.
• Champion AI-native risk management and automation.
• Set multi-year roadmap for credit risk function.
• Embed risk policy into product/workflows.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and US requirements.
• Own loss provisioning and stress testing under IFRS9/GAAP.
• Report on risk exposure to leadership and committees.
