Role Overview
As part of Quantiphi's AI Advisory practice, you will lead advisory engagements for business buyers: CFOs, COOs and the leaders who own a P&L, alongside their technology counterparts. The practice helps clients make AI decisions they can fund and prove, across AI strategy and investment, technology assessment, governance, operating model, and value realization.
Value realization carries particular weight in this role. Most companies still judge AI by hours saved, or by a target agreed once and never measured again. We help clients tie AI to gains a business owner stands behind and finance can see on the P&L. You'll bring a strategy consultant's discipline to that work and to the rest of the portfolio.
This is an engagement leadership role. You'll run the work, the team and the client relationship day to day, with the Managing Director as engagement partner.
What You Will Do?
Lead Engagements End to End
- Lead advisory engagements from kickoff to handover, typically 4–12 weeks, owning the plan, scope, timeline and quality. You're also the program manager: you run the delivery cadence and lead the technical team working on the engagement.
- Lead value realization work: set or rebuild the pre-AI baseline with support from the technical team (a solution architect designs how tracking is wired, delivery engineers connect the data, and offshore analysts rebuild the numbers), agree targets for where freed capacity goes (take out, redeploy or grow), set up tracking, and hand the method to the client's finance team.
- Lead strategy and investment work across the portfolio: value pools, business cases, prioritized bets and roadmaps.
- Keep the client's business owners and finance team moving toward real decisions, not just recommendations.
- Produce executive-ready outputs, including value reports for the CFO.
Hold the Business Conversation
- Work day to day with Executive and Senior Leaders, including CFOs, COOs, business P&L owners and technology leaders.
- Tell a client when a number is disappointing, clearly and with care.
- Protect the practice's independence: our advice holds up regardless of who built, or will build, the client's AI.
Lead the Team
- Lead a mixed team of advisory and technical specialists: value case, operating model and solution architecture leads, an offshore analyst pod, and, when an engagement moves into build, AI/ML, data, platform and full-stack engineers, QA and business analysts.
- Run the program: delivery cadence, reporting to client leadership, sprints, dependencies and coordination across client departments.
- Coach consultants and analysts, and review their work before it reaches the client.
- Pull in R&D and Finance when an engagement needs them.
Grow the Practice
- Lead pursuits alongside the Managing Director: qualify the opportunity, turn the client's question into a clear scope, size the team and effort, recommend the commercial approach, and write the proposal or RFP response.
- Spot the next engagement inside the current one, without pushing delivery work the client doesn't need.
- Sharpen methods, templates and case studies after each engagement.
Basic Qualifications (BQs)
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years in management or strategy consulting, with 3+ years leading engagements yourself, not only workstreams.
- A track record of leading work with business buyers (CFOs, COOs, P&L owners), not only technology leaders.
- Built business cases or investment cases that a client's finance team accepted.
- Strong structured problem solving and synthesis: you decide what the analysis concludes and you own the storyline.
- Working comfort with AI in practice: what it costs to run, what tools can measure, and why "hours saved" isn't a return. You don't need to build models.
- Experience program-managing blended teams of consultants and technical specialists (architects, engineers, analysts), onshore and offshore, through build and deployment. You don't need to do the engineering yourself.
- Clear, plain communication in writing and in the room.
Other Qualifications (OQs)
- Workforce or organization design experience: role redesign, operating model work, or redeploying capacity after a transformation.
- Time in a value office, benefits realization or FP&A role.
- Experience in one of our core industries: financial services and insurance, healthcare and life sciences, or telecom and media.
- Exposure to AI or data delivery, enough to judge what a build team can realistically deliver.
- Experience helping stand up a new practice or offering.
