Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations in Knoxville, TN to lead production, post-processing and shipping. You will manage a 15+ person team, drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and optimize end-to-end workflows for additive manufacturing campaigns.

The role bridges engineering and operations, reporting to the Operations Director, with a focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a defense manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in manufacturing with additive manufacturing focus.
• 5+ years leading manufacturing teams.
• Hands-on LPBF/MBJ experience preferred.
• Proven production, quality, and delivery accountability.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with CAD software and ERP/manufacturing systems.
• Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent mindset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production, post-processing, and shipping operations at Knoxville site
• Direct two Supervisors and 15+ staff, fostering accountability and growth
• Plan production and resources aligned with control and delivery commitments
• Advance additive manufacturing capabilities (LPBF/MBJ) from print to inspection
• Develop end-to-end workflows for transition to full-rate production
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste
• Track metrics: on-time delivery, yield, equipment utilization, cost
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and aerospace defense requirements
• Manage budget and drive productivity improvements
• Participate in hiring and workforce planning to build talent
