Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to manage global close processes, compensation accounting, and lease accounting using Tririga. The role partners with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Payroll to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls.

The candidate will drive AI-enabled process improvements, mentor a high-performing team, and report on flux analysis and executive metrics for cloud and compensation spend.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Experience in public accounting and multinational publicly traded companies.
• Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting foundation.
• Knowledge of compensation, benefits, lease accounting, and commission capitalization.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for cloud, generative AI, and technology service arrangements.
• Partner with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and Cloud Engineering on accounting implications.
• Operationalize technical accounting conclusions into journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, close procedures, and controls.
• Own the close for worldwide compensation accounts, including payroll and other related accruals.
• Oversee compensation balance sheet reconciliations across all entities and resolve payroll-to-GL discrepancies.
• Oversee complex compensation transactions, including sales-commission capitalization and bonuses.
• Lead compensation analytics and collaborate with HR, Payroll, and FP&A to improve forecast accuracy.
• Own lease accounting, including lease reviews, reconciliations, and journal entries using Tririga.
• Own flux analysis and executive reporting for compensation, cloud, and lease expenses.
• Drive process improvements and AI-enabled automation.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Collaborate across Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Payroll, and FP&A.

• Partner with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and Cloud Engineering on accounting implications
• Operationalize technical accounting conclusions into journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, close procedures, and controls
• Own the close for worldwide compensation accounts, including payroll, bonuses, commissions, severance, fringe benefits, and other accruals
• Oversee compensation balance sheet reconciliations across all entities and resolve payroll-to-GL discrepancies
• Oversee complex compensation transactions, including sales-commission capitalization, performance bonuses, and fringe and facility allocation and forecasting
• Lead compensation analytics and partner with HR, Payroll, and FP&A to improve forecast accuracy
• Own lease accounting, including lease reviews, reconciliations, and journal entries using Tririga
• Own flux analysis and executive reporting for compensation, cloud, and lease expenses
• Drive process improvements and AI-enabled automation
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Partner strategically across Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Payroll, and FP&A
• Support additional accounting areas and initiatives as needed

Requirements

• CPA license required
• Experience in both public accounting firms and publicly traded multinational companies
• Strong technical accounting foundation under U.S. GAAP
• Knowledge of compensation, employee benefits, lease accounting, and commission capitalization
• Ability to lead complex projects with minimal oversight
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence executive leadership and diverse audiences
• Experience using AI, automation, and analytics for process improvement
• Experience with ERP systems required, preferably SAP S/4HANA
• Proficiency in BlackLine, Tableau, and Power BI highly preferable
• Experience with cloud, SaaS, or consumption-based cost accounting and vendor-spend partnership is a plus
