Job summary

The City of Richmond Department of General Services is seeking a Management Analyst, Principal, to provide executive level support in a variety of business management functions. The successful candidate must have senior-level analysis with involvement in critical and complex programs and projects, and the ability to function independently while prioritizing multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of journey-level professional experience in areas such as policy interpretation, employee relations, position control, data analysis, program/project management or management analysis.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be used to meet qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing and facilitating communications with Divisions that report to the Director of General Services and other City offices.
• Determines program/project needs; creates, coordinates, manages, oversees, and monitors programs/projects.
• Manages and reviews records, reports, data, and other documentation; provides analysis on complex subjects; presents information; makes recommendations and decisions.
• Formulating budgets for assigned program or operational functions.
• Prepares timeline and implementation steps for the execution of programs.
• Monitoring work assignments, by providing instructions and trainings as needed.
• Serving on various divisional and departmental committees and task forces to provide and obtain critical information.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
