Job summary

Department of State seeks a Management Analyst III to collect and analyze data across multiple license types, directing studies and generating reports on impact to inform operational changes. You will communicate with applicants, licensees, IT staff, state agency contacts and the public, crafting instruction sheets and processing applications and payments as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in conducting studies evaluating operations, programs, services, policies and procedures to determine efficiency and effectiveness.
• Three years experience in descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation).
• Three years experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Six months experience in designing studies including goals, information needed, data sources and collection methods.
• Six months experience in making recommendations for continuation or changes to operations based on findings.
• Six months experience in narrative report writing.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics such as correlation, t-tests, f-tests or ANOVA.

Responsibilities

• Interview agency staff and observe work processes to gather data for evaluating services.
• Review and interpret collected data to define problems and suggest improvements.
• Analyze data and develop solutions or alternative methods.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of operations in meeting goals and objectives.
• Provide technical assistance in understanding management objectives and controls.
